About Vaslap

Vaslap is a South African Data-as-a-Service company focused on one thing: knowing exactly where retail happens. We collect, validate and maintain geocoded datasets of store locations, national chains, buying groups and independent businesses, across every province of South Africa.

Location decisions in South African retail are still made on gut feel, outdated spreadsheets or expensive consultancies. We think the raw material for those decisions, accurate, complete, current store-network data, should be affordable and instantly downloadable.

What we sell

Ready-to-download CSV datasets per brand, per category and per bundle, plus custom collection services for any retail category or region in the country. Every dataset carries a published methodology and a data-quality scorecard so you know exactly what you are buying.

Where we're going

Hardware and building materials is our launch category. Grocery, pharmacy, fast food, fashion, fuel and automotive datasets are in active collection. Our goal is to be the definitive source of retail location intelligence for South Africa, the first place analysts, retailers, property teams and sales organisations check before they make a location decision.
